Graduation Speech 2012

Here is my awesome speech for graduating from St. Mary's! Blue is me and green is my friend Emma.

You know you go to St. Mary's when you have a beach day in the middle of winter, or when you know the tacky the penguin dance by heart. And when you get a plastic dinosaur and name it spike. You know you go to St. Mary's when you bring in a bunch of junk and "invent" something that's already been invented, or when your fourth grade teacher gives you the answers to the science tests. You know you go to St. Mary's when you class isn't responsible enough to get the talk, or when you're proud of yourself when the teacher says, "Out in the hall!" Ans when you think of nicknames for the teachers and subs such as: Smithers, Nyfry, NcNylund, Nyny, Slotske, Stewie, Strollo, TG, Mr. C, and Hanging, or you just call them by their last name. You know you go to St. Mary's when you cook food in solar ovens, and by the end of the day you are either sick or/and you have an office referral. We've had great times at St. Mary's. Some of us have been together since preschool. We've lost some people along the way, but we've also accepted new classmates that we can now call friends. We know how to push each others buttons, but we know how to make each other feel wanted. We've seen each other through thick and thin. We've been there for each other when no one else was. It's now time to move on, but even if you don't admit it, you're glad you came to St. Mary's. You're glad you came here and experienced all of these crazy times together.

Hannah: Keep on shimmering and shining
Jack: Remember that time Mitchell and I went to your house to work on a project and it ended with me in the ER? Ya neither do I.
Jen: One word, Helene
Brady: Never a dull day with you
Eli: All aboard! Hahaha
Liana: Girl scout camp.....interesting
Kirstin: Thanks for always understanding me when nobody else does
Luke Bunkers: I've always admired the way you can make people laugh
Greg: Have you ever noticed your locker is the most comfortable?

Thomas: You are super duper awesomely talented and don't let anyone tell you otherwise
Jacob Dahl: I will always remember the day Zoe invented your nickname
Mya: We'll never forget you and hope you'll never forget us
Goutham: I'm going to miss having all our random technology talks together
Reed: Like a book
Jonny: I'm glad to know you'll always be there with a sweatshirt if I need one
Brandon: I think it's awesome how you can skateboard compared to me who has no sense of balance
Noah: When you came things changed....for the better of course
Emily: I hear my bathroom is very comfortable
Ryan Domeier: I will never forget the time you biked more than ten miles to my house
Ryan Huxford: Everything bad always happens to you and I don't know why
Tessa: Tessa Rahrick
Stanley: I like band with you, It's always fun
Jake Nelson: Home schooled to our school...big jump
Mitchell: 2nd grade. The poem
Kristen: Keep smiling keep shining knowing you can always count on me for sure that's what friends are for in good times and bad times I'll be by your side forever more that's what friends are for!
Alex: We all know grapes are red right?
Luke Berkley: You're the best 8th grade french horn
Melony: Being a new student can be hard especially at a school like ours, but I am surprised at how well you handled it and how fast you got use to our odd ways
Abbie: Your laugh always makes me laughs and brightens my day
Ethan: When I heard you were going to play the guitar for our final song I was a bit disappointed because I wanted the regular music with no clapping, screaming, and what ever else us SMS kids could think of doing, but now I am super glad you did because it made the song a lot better.
Grace: Scary situations with your mom, Sophie, Jen and I are always fun

Katie: I'm glad you're there for me when everyone else turns away
Jake Borchert: Molly's party was fun in the kitchen with Emma, Matt, Huxford, and I

We will always remember all of you, and our memories will never fade. Hopefully our friendships won't either. Now that we are ready to go to the high school, we hope that you never forget the friends you've always had, right from the beginning.
