Friends

Have you ever had those days when nothing seems to go right? I had one of those days today; I slept in 15 minutes longer, because my alarm didn't go off, I had some troubles with my science partner today, and I had an argument with my best friend about some silly Industrial Tech project. All I wanted to do was go home, but one more thing just had to happen. Our project didn't work; therefore, we had to stay after school to finish it for tomorrow. I was mad, because I didn't want to stay with the friend I was mad at; nevertheless, we had a great time. I now realize that those bad days don't have to be so bad when you have a friend to help you through them. "Some days you're the pigeon. Other days you're the statue, but you'll never have to be if you have a friend." -LaVonne Sedivy

Waiting For Spring

Hey guys!!!
Just waiting for the following days to go by until spring will finally come! It's been a crazy hectic month with basketball and all the fun stuff going on at school. Yesterday was Tri-county and we finished 1st in conference but couldn't seem to pull a win during the championship game. :( This past week we had Spirit Week to get the entire school pumped up for Tri-county. We had the pep fest, student vs. teacher games, half-court shot competition, and a Mtn Dew chugging contest. All was fun so the days have flown by and now it's back to our regular school days until our eighth grade class will finally be going on our trip to ELC!!! All of us have been working super hard to get thirty hours of work in. These thirty hours include sweeping the classrooms, vacuuming the carpets at school, serving at pancake breakfasts, working at the bingo tent during the fair, working at the auction, and any other jobs that will benefit St. Mary's School. As of this point I am at 29.25 hours! Still can't wait for spring!!!
Until later,
Rebecca

More About Me

My name is Rebecca and I live in a small town , but I am an 8th grader at a catholic school in a bigger town. I play soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and the trumpet. I've been to Florida, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Missouri, South Carolina, Iowa, Illinois, and Canada; I hope to go to Alaska, Hawaii, Germany, Paris, London, and Mexico. I very much dislike the cold; therefore, I don't like the winter. I love summer, because I love those hot summer days. I like the fall with the crisp morning air and the beautiful colorful trees. I adore spring, because I love the rain it brings. My friends describe me as energetic and crazy. I have a yellow lab named Josi and a cat named Midnight. My family consists of two older sisters (I am the youngest) and two parents whom I love with all my heart. I live in the country but not on a farm and enjoy listening to music or reading. I like to go fishing and swimming with friends as well and anything else that has to do with nature. My favorite thing in the whole wide world is chocolate covered strawberries or movie nights with my family.

I created this blog for a class of mine called 21st Century Skills. This class teaches us how to use new technology for homework, schoolwork, or projects. Right now we have been learinging about politics and the presidential race and blogging about it at http://www.sms21century.blogspot.com/.
